Decorated Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS
1 pkg (510g) Pillsbury* Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookies and Chocolate Explosion Cookies
3 cups icing sugar
1/4 cup water
2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Food coloring of your choice
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oven to 350°F (180°C). Shape the dough into approximately 24 balls. Slightly flatten balls with damp fingers. Place them on two baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake until golden for approximately 12 minutes.
· Mix icing sugar and water thoroughly with a whisk. If you’d like more than one color, separate icing into different bowls. Add food coloring of your choice and stir.
· If you have piping bags and tips for the icing, use those to decorate your cookies. If not, spoon icing into a Ziploc bag and cut a tiny hole in one of the bottom corners so that the icing can flow out. (One bag per color).
· Decorate cookies as you wish!
Makes: 24 servings
Tip: For easier decorating, outline your cookie design first and then go back and fill the centers in later. You’ll be creating a ‘dam’ to hold the icing in.
